Magnetic Scrabble Tree
Have you seen those printable trees that have Christmas word in different fonts to create the shape? Of course I thought scrabble tiles could do the same thing. The tricky part was finding words that fit into the number of spaces I needed. I could have glued the tiles right onto the cookie sheet, but that is investing a lot of tiles for just one project. So instead I used my trusty E6000 glue to attach magnets to the back of each tile. I found this old cookie sheet at Goodwill and loved the antique feel it had. When Christmas is over, I intend to spell out other messages with the tiles that fit the season or current Holiday.

Family Pictures Advent Front
I don’t have a tutorial for this advent calendar. I made it quite a few years ago, but it remains one of my favorite projects.

Scrabble Advent Calendar
I made this advent calendar last year, so I do not have in-progress pictures. Don’t worry, I’ll walk you through it. This project can be made with letters from 1 scrabble game. I had some tiles that were burgundy on one side. I used those to give an antique feel. You could create the same effect by painting the back of your tiles before beginning this project. I would do one thing different if I were to do this project again. I would place the “Merry” line over a space or forgo placing the tiles within the squares on the board completely. I like things to be symmetrical, so this bothers me a bit. It is still cute as is however, so I try to get over my OCD.
