Whole Wheat Brownies

I know what you are thinking. “Whole Wheat?”, but yes they are very good. In fact they are my husbands favorite. Give them a try. It’s a great way to sneak some healthiness into a delicious dessert! (and yes that is a brownie taken out of the corner by my dear husband who just couldn’t wait until after the picture was taken!)

Ingredients
  • 2 cubes butter - melted
  • ½ cup cocoa
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
Instructions
  1. Beat ingredients together until mixed well.
  2. Pour batter into a greased 9x13 pan.
  3. Bake at 350 degrees for 32-35 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
  4. This recipe can be cut in half for an 8x8 pan.
  5. Cool and top with your favorite chocolate frosting.
Notes
I am contemplating making these with banana to cut some of the fat. I'll let you know how it goes.
