Koolaid Playdough

Kool-aid Play dough

This is my favorite Play dough recipe. This picture is of the batch I made for school. I used grape Kool-Aid. They are studying creatures, and they made worms out of it. You can add some food coloring (paste will give a better color) if you want a more vibrant colors. The dough will smell like whatever flavor of Kool-Aid you used. This is still a salt dough and NOT meant to be eaten!

Kool-aid Playdough
  • 2 ½ cups flour
  • ½ cup salt
  • 2 pkg. unsweetened Kool-Aid (MUST BE UNSWEETENED)
  • 3 Tbsp oil
  • 2 cups boiling water
  1. Mix dry ingredients.
  2. Add water and oil and mix quickly.
  3. Mix as completely as possible. he dough will still be a bit lumpy and mottled in color.
  4. When cool enough to handle, mix the dough with your hands until smooth and color is uniform.
  5. Store in an airtight container.
This play dough should remain soft for about a week. Yields approximately 8 small balls of play dough.
