Menu Planning and Recipes to Try

Posted on

Menu planning for me has been a rotating process.  In the past I have preferred making a simple list of 14 dinners.  I would purchase all the ingredients needed for them and then choose each day what I felt like cooking.  This worked well for many years.  Times change however and new ideas come about.

I am working at a GREAT preschool which I love and enjoy so much.  However, working limits the time I have to spend in the kitchen preparing meals.  My youngest child is a senior in high school and as he is home from work before I am, he does the cooking on Tuesdays and Thursdays when we have evening activities.  This is great for him and great for me!  He is learning to cook in a variety of ways and I have two days a week I come home to a nice meal.

I now plan my menu and shopping by the week and assign a day for each recipe.  A friend introduced me to an app that has simplified and streamlined the way I organize recipes, meal plan and grocery shop.  I LOVE it!  The app is called Paprika.  Check out their website.  I will be posting a review with more information soon!

I’ve decided to share with you my weekly meals with links to original recipes.  Then the following week I will give you my rating of each recipe.  This weeks recipes are a mix of “tried and true” and “new to me”.  Let me know if you try any of these recipes and if you liked them!
