BBQ Grill

Another (outdoor) kitchen memory…

While I reign in the Kitchen, my dear husband Monte reigns with the grill. Last Spring a good friend of mine offered us a bbq grill they were not using. We were not able to bring ours with us to Indiana, so we gratefully accepted. However, as neither of us had a truck, we were not able to move it. My parents were coming in to visit, so I thought “I’ll just walk to her house and push/pull it back home.” Now her house is only about 3/4 mile away, so this should be no big deal right? I walked there easily enough and my friend agreed to push her stroller and walk back with me so that I would not look so funny to people driving by. It is all downhill to my friends house and therefore all up hill on the way back. She loaned me a pair of gloves, so my hands would not get sore. We got plenty of funny looks as we walked up the busy street pushing a bbq grill! I’m glad to know I added some humor and happiness to their day! Everything went well and I now have a wonderful grill on my back porch. However, my arms were like spaghetti and I could barely lift them up, let alone hold anything. I had to use two hands to lift my phone up and my arm was shaking every time I lifted my spoon to eat my lunch. How many calories do you think I burned doing that? I hope I have added a smile to your day too!
