This Butter Cream Frosting really helps top off my favorite Cinnamon Rolls. It’s a great base recipe too. You can easily add a few extra ingredients to make chocolate, lemon, orange, or even peanut butter. I like to use the real vanilla extract. It really gives it a lovely flavor.

Our dear friends have hosted many Muggle Quidditch games on their property. They are moving soon 🙁 , so last night was the last game. I usually help run the “Three Broomsticks” where we have all kind of treats from butterbeer, licorice wands, chocolate turtles, every flavor beans, popcorn, etc. I decided to make pumpkin cookies to add to the offerings. I love the flavor of pumpkin chocolate chip cookies, but not the texture. They are usually to cakey for me. So I decided to add oatmeal to the mix and see what happened. The results are wonderful! I made 9 dozen cookies they are all gone now. The teenagers LOVED them! I had originally thought to make a chocolate glaze, but decided to go with a spiced glaze. These are a new family favorite!
This is a just a review for these lovely cookies. I made these without any alterations to the original recipe, so I am simply linking you to the source! The Cooking Photographer came up with a delicious way to combine apple cider and caramel into a cookie. She uses apple cider drink packets in the dough and wraps it around a caramel. I could not find the actual square caramels so I used caramel bits. These are best eaten warm, but are yummy anytime!
These cupcakes are absolutely FABULOUS!! They are made with whole wheat flour and yogurt to make them a bit more healthy. They come out so moist and the salty caramel drizzle just seals the deal. These will become a staple in our home.
The basis of this recipe came from this cake at A Hint of Honey . I really only make cakes for birthdays, and I wanted to be able to put it in the kids lunches. So I made some alterations to make it work for me. The results are really very yummy. Such a nice recipe for Fall when apples are in season.
It took some tweaking to get this recipe right, but the results were worth the effort. The flavorful creamy sauce really appealed to my family.
Oh my, these are good! I wanted to make a treat using some of my blueberries so I tweaked my cinnamon roll recipe and came up with this lovely dessert. The streusel and blueberry filling is a nice flavor and texture combination. These are now my son’s favorite dessert. He requested it for his Birthday instead of cake!
My friend Cindy shared this lovely recipe with me. My kids LOVE them. They will be so happy to come home from school today and be able to eat them. I used the same recipe to make cupcakes with the frosting on the inside. This way I can send them in the kids’ lunches.
