Menu planning for me has been a rotating process. In the past I have preferred making a simple list of 14 dinners. I would purchase all the ingredients needed for them and then choose each day what I felt like cooking. This worked well for many years. Times change h read more

Another Girl’s Camp is just around the corner. Tons of preparation goes into the camp as a whole. My little corner of it is in the kitchen. I’ve added a few new recipes to the menu this year and the budget allowed for 2 days of bacon. The girls will be happy!
I’m sharing my menu with you today and all the recipes. I’ve included everything this year, including how to cook large amounts of scrambled eggs, rice and bacon in case you also need to feed a crowd 🙂 The recipes also have single batch measurements. I have many files to organize and plan as well if anyone is interested. Just let me know!
My brain is so full right now, it just may burst. I am cooking for our church girl’s camp again this year. There will be about 135 people to feed on a budget. I do have a kitchen to work in, so most things are going to be made from scratch.
Today’s post is a just a quick one to share the menu I’ve planned as well as the recipes. I have written them up with a single batch and multiplied out to the quantities I use for camp. These are great recipes for family reunions too. Continue reading
This one pot chicken recipe has a nice savory flavor by combining soy sauce, garlic and broth. The chicken and vegetables round it out to a very satisfying meal.
Lemon and Chicken are one of my favorite flavor combinations. Put that together with the ease of a one pot meal and you have a winner! It comes together quickly and the taste just tickles my tongue 🙂
One Pot and Orzo in the same meal…perfection. Have you tried Orzo pasta? It looks a bit like overgrown rice 🙂 Since it is so small, it cooks pretty quickly.
This recipe combines this lovely little pasta with yummy chicken apple sausage. I love the flavor of this sausage. I have tried some different brands, but I usually buy this one because it is readily available at my local stores.
One Pot Chicken Parmesan Pasta…I can’t tell you how much we like this one. I made it for the first time last week and fell in love. It’s a little different from most one pot meals, but still easy and oh so tasty. The crunchy topping really makes this dish.
One Pot meals have become quite the sensation on the web these days. I have fallen in love with them myself. I’ve been making this meal for a while now and my family loves it. All the ingredients go into the pot at once and dinner is ready in about 20 minutes. I doesn’t get much better than that!
The beauty of these meals is how easy and versatile they are. If you need to feed more people, you just add more pasta and broth. If you don’t like an ingredient, just swap it out for one you do.
This Italian Turkey Meatloaf is so flavorful and moist. A wonderful blend of turkey, spinach, Mozzarella cheese and Italian spices. The homemade marinara sauce that tops it really makes the whole thing sing.
